Solid Waste/Recycling Schedule and Guidelines

IESI is the contract waste provider for residences in the City of Pflugerville. Recently, the City Council voted to extend our contract with IESI as trash provider. They will continue to pick up trash on normal service days through February 1. After February 1, new rates and pickup dates will go into effect.

They will take bulk items on any normal service day.  They do take washers, dryers, mattresses, bundled brush etc.  However, any appliance normally containing Freon must be purged and a certificate indicating it has been purged must be attached to the unit.  Otherwise it will be left behind.  Also, IESI does not take construction debris.

Solid Waste Schedule

All non-recyclable waste should be placed inside the wheeled cart at the curb no later than 7:00 am.

Recycle Schedule/Guidelines

Your recycling bin should be put out by the curb by 7:00 am.

Newspaper – Placed in or beneath bin in a plastic bag so that paper cannot blow out.  It is not necessary to remove inserts.  NO wet newspaper, mail or office paper.

Plastics – Plastic drink jugs only.  Please rinse and drain completely.  Remove caps and rings and flatten.  NO detergent, bleach, oil or antifreeze bottles.

Cans – Rinse and drain completely.  NO aerosol cans of any type.
Glass – Glass is NO LONGER accepted for recycling at curbside, but can be recycled at the City  Recycling Center at 2609 E. Pecan.

Absolutely no hazardous materials of any kind will be accepted.
