Board of Adjustment
Hears and decides any appeals that allege error in an order, requirement, decision, or determination made by the Administrator.
Hears and decides special exceptions and variances.
(For the City’s Central Business District) Reviews major permits and issues, issues with condition, or denies major site development permits referred by the Building Official; renders advice and guidance upon request of the property owner or occupant of any structure eligible for a major site development permit; and reviews text amendments to the Site Development Code.
Composed of five regular members serving two-year terms, with a majority of the members from design-related fields such as architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, land development or construction, and the remaining members appointed on an at-large basis. One-year residency is required.
