Youth Program Standards of Care

Spring Break Pfun Camp

Spring Break Camp has space for a maximum of 40 campers, ages 6 - 10.


  • Dates: March 13 - 17
  • Fees: $110 resident, per child
   $130 non-resident, per child
  • Times: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Extended drop-off hours 7:30 a.m. and late pick-up until 5:30 p.m.)

Tentative List of Activities:

Monday:  Morning: Games in Gilleland Creek Park, Pfluger Park; Afternoon: reading and Legos at Pflugerville Library
Tuesday:  Field Trip to Mount Playmore; games back at the Recreation Center
Wednesday:  Pet Day! Morning: Games in Gilleland Creek Park and Pfluger Park; Afternoon: Pet Pfest at Pflugerville Library; Pet arts and crafts at the Recreation Center
Thursday:  Field Trip to Austin Zoo; back to the Recreation Center for zoo activities
Friday / St. Patrick's Day (wear green!):  Field Trip to Play for All Park, then arts and crafts back at the Recreation Center

Summer Pfun Camp

Choose from 10 weeks of camp

First Week: Begins Monday, June 5
Camp Ends: Friday, August 11
Times: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Extended drop-off hours 7:30 a.m. and pickup at 5:30 p.m)
Register - Both registration dates begin at 8 a.m. online and in-person:
  • Monday, March 27 for residents inside the legal city limits
  • Monday, April 3 for all other non-residents


Cost

  • $110/week for Pflugerville Residents (Grades 1st - 6th) / Short week $88
  • $130/week for Non-Residents (Grades 1st - 6th) / Short week $104
  • $130/week for Residents for Teen Camp / Short week $104
  • $150/week for Non-Residents for Teen Camp / Short week $120

Note: Not all street addresses with Pflugerville as their postal address are within our city limits. Residency is determined by streets that are listed inside the legal city limits. Please verify with staff if there is a question. email: | call: (512) 990-6350


Summer Pfun Camp Age Groups

Note: Groups are determined by what grade your child will be entering in the Fall.
Lemonheads : 1st - 2nd grade (must be six years old and completed Kindergarten)
Skittles : 3rd - 4th grade
Fireballs: 5th - 6th grade
Teens : Ages 12 - 15 (must be 12 years old and entering 7th grade before camp starts)

Week 1 - Austin Zoo and Animal Sanctuary
Week 2 - Landa Park
Week 3 - Mount Bonnell and Mayfield Park
Week 4 - Longhorn Caverns
Week 5 - Enchanted Rock, Inks Lake State Park, Newman Castle (Note: 4-day week/holiday)
Week 6 - Dr. Pepper Museum
Week 7 - The Thinkery (Teens: Jumpstreet Trampolines)
Week 8 - Cedar Park Science Museum
Week 9 - Chapparal Ice Skating
Week 10 - Reunion Ranch

Media and Photography Camp
Lemonhead Campers

Ages: 9 to 15 years
Time: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Cost: $145 per person, per week, plus $10 supply fee (2016 fee, pricing may change for Summer 2017)
Dates: TBA - check in early February for dates

One week of daily lessons on how to shoot and edit video. All equipment will be provided. Class will be held in the kitchen meeting room at the Recreation Center.
Instructor: Nader Nanjiani of the RARE Learning program.


Youth Scholarship Program
This program is available to children and their families who meet certain income/residency requirements. Electronic applications and program guidelines can be found online on the Community Development Block Grant information page, or you can pick one up from the Recreation Center located at 400 Immanuel Road.

Complete the application and turn in to the Recreation Center front desk. Applicants will be notified by email listed on program application of their status.
