The best thing to do is attend the public hearing and speak to the Commission or Council. The Commission/Council asks that you complete a "Speaker Request" card before the meeting, be brief, and try not to repeat information already mentioned by a previous speaker. If you cannot attend the public hearing, you may want to submit a statement in writing which will be given to the Commission and/or Council. You may circulate a petition either supporting or opposing a proposal which will be given to the Commission or City Council. There are not a set number of signatures that must be collected on a petition to disapprove a proposed rezoning or other request. A petition will not automatically disapprove a request no matter how many signatures appear on it. The City Council is the final authority on all such decisions. Petitions are used to inform the commission or council of the magnitude of the support or opposition to a request. |

GIS (Maps)
A geographic information system (GIS) integrates hardware, software, and data for capturing, managing, analyzing, and displaying all forms of geographically referenced information. |
The City of Pflugerville has new and historical data stored in a variety of formats in many locations. The most current way to integrate the data so that it can be analyzed as a whole and leverage it to make critical business and planning decisions is to use GIS systems. GIS can integrate and relate any data with a spatial component, regardless of the source of the data. For example, you can combine the location of mobile workers, located in real-time by GPS devices, in relation to customers' homes, located by address and derived from your customer database. GIS maps this data, giving dispatchers a visual tool to plan the best routes for mobile staff or send the closest worker to a customer. This |

If the photo ID does not list current address, mail with a recent postmark and verifying current address will also be required. PCL is a member of TexShare, a program that allows our patrons to check out materials at other libraries across the state. There are more than 500 public and academic member libraries that take part in Texshare. Each member library has its own checkout policy for TexShare borrowers, and any materials borrowed from another library must be returned to that library, not to PCL. For a list of member libraries, visit http://www.texshare.edu/generalinfo/about/programs.html To apply for a TexShare card at PCL: * You must have been a PCL cardholder for a minimum of 4 months. * You must have a consistent checkout history with Pflugerville Community Library. * Patrons whose fines exceed our fine limit of $5 and whose fines have remained unpaid for a period of 90 days are not eligible for TexShare services until any overdue materials have been returned by them, sufficient payments are made to reduce the overdue balance to less than $5, and after a period of good standing not to exceed 4 months. |
If we don't have the book you need, there are several ways to borrow the material. If it is available at a library nearby, TexShare may be the answer. If the book is at a distant library, InterLibrary Loan may be the best solution. Fill out an ILL request and our reference librarian will do an online search and borrow the material if it is available. We request materials from libraries nationwide. You then check out the item from PCL and return it here. ILL may take 2-3 weeks, and you are responsible for one way postage, generally about $2.45 per book. Patrons whose fines exceed our fine limit of $5 and whose fines have remained unpaid for a period of 90 days are not eligible for Interlibrary Loan services until any overdue materials have been returned by them, sufficient payments are made to reduce the overdue balance to less than $5, and after a period of good standing not to exceed 4 months. |

Customers may accrue up to $5.00 in fines before borrowing privileges are suspended. The library provides email and paper overdue notices strictly as a courtesy. Customers are responsible for the timely return of all materials on their accounts. Method of Payment Payment of fines and fees can be made in the following ways: * In person at the Pflugerville Community Library, 102 10th St., Pflugerville, TX 78660 * By check or money order mailed to Pflugerville Community Library, 102 10th St., Pflugerville, TX 78660 * Or by credit card. The City maintains inlets, pipes, concrete channels, natural channels and headwalls that discharge into creeks. The City maintains drainage easements to ensure they are clear of any obstacles restricting the flow of water. Residents are urged not to use the drainage systems for disposal of leaves, grass clippings or any other debris as that will impede the flow of water into the underground system and could cause flooding and make the maintenance of the area more difficult. Dumping of debris, trash or other items will be referred to the code enforcement officer. Littering is punishable by a fine. In the event of flooding due to a blockage of the storm drain system, residents are encouraged to contact the Streets Division from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM at (512) 251-9935 Monday through Friday. In the event of a flooding emergency at any other time, call the Pflugerville Police Department at (512) 251-4004. |

The Streets Division is responsible for the mowing of public rights-of-way (ROW) and drainage easements throughout the City. The Streets Division maintains a mowing schedule for Pflugerville ROW’s and drainage easements, with most areas being maintained every 5 to 6 weeks. Several of the more heavily traveled streets such as Pecan and Dessau Rd. are scheduled for mowing every 3 weeks. During the winter months when the vegetation is dormant, mowing is done on an as-needed basis. As part of the routine maintenance of ROW's, periodic spraying of herbicides to contain unwanted vegetation is done. A City employee with pesticide applicator certification oversees all spraying of herbicides. While the herbicide has an odor, care is taken to prevent overspray and drift by not spraying on windy days. The herbicide is applied close to the ground which also minimizes drift. If you have any questions please contact the Streets Division at 251-9935. |
The Streets Division is responsible for the maintenance and repairs on Pflugerville sidewalks and all the Americans with Disabilities ramps within the street right-of-ways. The high priority failures are listed and an annual contract is awarded for the repair of these areas. Inspection of work performed is provided to ensure the quality of the completed work. Small repairs are scheduled and repaired by city staff. To report damaged sidewalks call the Streets Division at (512) 251-9935, Monday through Friday. Sidewalks that are considered dangerous to pedestrians will be temporarily repaired as soon as possible; the sidewalk will be inspected, prioritized according to the hazardous condition and placed on the Sidewalk Replacement List. According to the priority given that request, the repair will be made as the Street Division's budget and schedule allows. Please be advised that the property owners are responsible for maintaining sidewalks leading to their homes and businesses. To report a sidewalk problem, call 512-251-9935. |
